Nathan’s Fun Weekend

I know it’s Wednesday and thus a little late for a weekend recap post, but momma and daddy have had the stomach flu since Monday, so we haven’t had a chance to post.  We are slowly starting to feel better, and thank God Nathan hasn’t caught it.

Nathan had a really fun weekend.  On Friday night we took him to his first sushi restaurant.

Daddy has been reading him “The First Book of Sushi” since birth and he really enjoys the colors and pictures.  Unfortunately, he slept through most of it, but he eventually work up and was able to see some of the things in his book.

Saturday morning Nathan woke mom and dad up very early to play.  At around 9:30 he had all he could handle that morning.

Rest assured that we did move him into his crib and Nathan took a very good 3 hour nap!

Saturday and Sunday momma and daddy worked in the yard all day long.  Nathan enjoyed spending time outside and taking in the world.

On Saturday night daddy taught Nathan how to rock out.

We had a great weekend with Nathan, and hopefully momma and daddy will feel better by this weekend so more fun can be had by the Fuksa family!

Jumperoo!

Nathan has been getting some pretty strong legs lately.  For quite a few weeks, great grandma Helen had been talking about wanting to get him a Johnny Jump-up like Aunt Erin and I had as babies.  This weekend Nathan’s leg kicks and bounces hit critical mass, so we figured we’d better go ahead and get the Jumperoo a little early.

I went and bought it Sunday evening after our trip to Iowa and put it together for a little bit of jumping before bedtime.  He took to it immediately, and as the pictures show, he has absolutely no problem keeping his head up while in it.  This kid has superhuman baby strength!

Videos of the jumping coming soon, but for now we bring you first pictures of the Jumperoo.
