Playing with Daddy

Since Nathan has become more mobile he loves it when we get down on the floor and play with him.  He really likes it when he and daddy wrestle.  I’m not sure how they got into this position, but it was pretty funny so I had to take a picture.

Nathan is getting really good at playing with his big red ball.  He wants to play almost every night and has learned how to stop the ball with his hands and then roll it back to us.

It’s one more tool we use to help him develop his hand-eye coordination and learn about cause and effect.  I think it’s going really well.

Hanging out in Nathan’s room

Last night we decided that it was time to lower Nate’s crib after we saw this…

He’s started pulling himself up in his bed and gophers his little head over the crib rail. We decided to be preemptive and move it down before he realized he can crawl out.

So we spent some time in Nathan’s room last night, playing and hanging out. Nathan enjoyed watching daddy work on the crib. He also enjoyed it when momma got out all of his stuffed animals from the closet. He laughed and laughed at all of the animals around him.

We don’t spend a lot of time in his room. He gets is diaper changed and sleeps in there, that’s about it. But I think he enjoyed the change of scenery. Maybe we’ll put some of his toys in there and clear some out of our living room.

Guess how many teeth I have now?

FOUR!!!  Can you believe it?

Nathan finally allowed us to take a picture of his teeth.  It was rather difficult and required some teamwork, but we finally were successful.  His 4th tooth is on the bottom and right under the surface.  It was causing him a lot of pain on Thursday, so needless to say he did not have a good day at daycare.  He’s all better now and we had a really fun weekend.  Nathan has started pulling himself up (holding on to momma or daddy’s hands) and he can stand for a couple minutes before he gets so excited he falls down.  It’s really cute to watch him get so excited and proud of himself when he stands up.  He flashes that big grin and you can’t help but smile right along with him.  :)
