Quick update

We had to take Nathan to Children’s Mercy Urgent Care Clinic tonight.  He’s had a horrible cough for over a week now and it just wasn’t getting better, so we decided to play it safe and get him checked out.  Turns out the poor baby has an ear infection and a cold.  :(   He’s on an antibiotic and ear drops and hopefully he’ll start feeling better soon.  We’ve been lucky enough to avoid most major illnesses this winter season (knock on wood), so hopefully this will be the extent of it.

Valentine Party

Last week Nathan attended a Valentine’s Party sponsored by the North Kansas City Parents as Teachers program.  This party was specially for toddlers 12-24 months old, so there were a lot of activities just Nathan’s size.

The very first station when we walked in the door was cookie decorating.

Nathan was very patient and waited until most of the frosting was on the cookie before he dug in.

The majority of the time there was spent on the music mat.  Nathan loves to bang objects together and make “music.”  There were a lot of kids that joined him on the mat and Nathan did a very good job of sharing the toys.

He also did a lot of climbing, which is a new favorite thing he has learned.  He hasn’t quite figured out how to climb up onto the couch yet, but he’s sure trying.

Nathan really likes to play with balls, as did a lot of kids there that night.  Here, he was finally able to secure himself a ball to play with and he promptly climbed up in the chair so none of the other kids could take it away from him.

Smart boy! :)

Nathan and Tyler’s Day of Fun

My goodness!  It has been a while since we’ve posted.  I’m very sorry for slacking.  You’ll forgive me after you see these fun pictures.  :)

A few Saturdays ago, Tyler and Brandon spent a few hours with Nathan while Aunt Angela was at work.  Nathan and Tyler had a lot of fun doing new art projects.

I bought each of them a present from the Crayola Store.  For Tyler, an activity pad and markers.  Nathan received some stamps that are designed to help him learn how to use crayons and markers.  Currently, all writing utensils go in his mouth.  They really enjoyed drawing and stamping, but after they grew tired of that the real fun began.

Chocolate pudding finger painting!

Would it surpise anyone to know that Nathan enjoyed eating the pudding more than painting with it. :)

I’ll take your pudding if your not going to eat it, Tyler.

After pudding painting a bath was in order.  Nathan is a very good sharer and tired to help Tyler wash up.
