Hooray for the 3rd Trimester!

Wow, it’s been a while since our last post.  As you can deduce from the title we hit the third trimester mark on Saturday.  That means we’re in the downhill stretch - only 12 weeks to go. I’m feeling really good, except for the occasional back ache or kick to the bladder.  We had another doctor appointment and ultrasound yesterday and everything is going well.  Nathan was very uncooperative during the ultrasound so we were not able to see his face.  But he did provide us quite a show of his boy parts and was very chilled with his legs crossed he entire time.  He weighs 2lbs. 12 ozs., which puts him in the 56% for little ones in his gestational period.  Not surprisingly, he has very skinny legs and the nurse said he is going to be a very long and lean baby.  Again, are we surprised?  Not at all.  We were unable, again, to see the chambers of his heart, but we heard the heartbeat and saw it beating, so at least we know there’s not a problem.  We have to go in for a level II ultrasound (i.e. more powerful) on Monday morning so the doctor can see a picture of the heart.  So, yay, we get more pictures!  I’ve been promising people that I will post pictures, and I promise to do so soon.  I lost the cord to my camera in the move so I’m going to have to figure something else out.

In other news, as I sit here and type Jeremy is doing some special painting in Nate’s nursery.  We are not painting the walls, but doing something entirely original on one wall.  Intrigued?  Check back for pictures (taken with Jeremy’s camera) once we have finished the project.  It looks awesome already and I’m excited to see the final project.  Jeremy is doing a great job!

That is all the updates I have for now.  I’ve been pretty good about updating the ticker on the right of the website and that will continue until he’s born.

We’ll see you soon!
